The strategic goal of the partner organisations (NABS & HCIS) is to provide quality interpreting services to their clients accessing healthcare services, and to provide professional development opportunities to interpreters to maintain and develop their skills. The project enabled both partner organisations, and interpreters on their books, to identify the Auslan vocabulary required for interpreter-mediated healthcare encounters, which fed into the website and related training for interpreters and deaf people.
