General Definition
1. The action of bringing two strip-like objects together, or any action or any thing directly or indirectly associated with this, such as joining streamers and, particularly, splicing film together in order to edit it.
As a Verb or Adjective
1. To choose some material that has been filmed or recorded and arrange it in a particular order. English = edit.
2. To join two pieces of film or tape together neatly at the ends so that they make one long continuous piece. English = splice.
