1. This sign is sometimes used by Auslan signers, but it is more commonly used by signers exposed to British Sign Language (BSL), e.g., deaf immigrants from Britain or deaf Australians who have lived in Britain for a period of time. Auslan signers use the other sign for WHY shown in this dictionary.
